Thank you for your interest in HP technology for the Indigo Digital presses. HP provides software developer kits (SDKs) targeted at independent software developers (ISVs). These SDKs allow consistent and convenient access to HP Indigo technology for these ISVs. The HP partner program provides support to ISVs developing support in their own products for HP Indigo digital presses.

HP understands these SDKs may also offer value to HP Indigo Print Service Providers (PSPs). HP is pleased to supply these SDKs to PSPs and prospective PSPs for their own in-house software development.

Please consider the following if you are a PSP interested in the HP Indigo SDKs.

  • The SDKs supply tools, documentation and examples to software developers. You must have software development skills in-house for the SDKs to provide value. If the PSP does not possess these skills, the SDKs are probably not right for you.
  • The SDKs can provide a simple means for supporting HP Indigo technology. However this support means the PSP must plan to write software which usually does not occur in short amounts of time. If your needs require using the SDKs to support HP Indigo presses within a day or two of development, the SDKs and technical support available will not be adequate to satisfy this need. However with solid development skills in-house, the SDKs can be used to build excellent applications and workflows for your HP Indigo Digital presses.
  • No on-site service is available or provided from HP to setup, install or integrate these SDKs. Installation instructions are in the SDK documentation.
  • Several of the SDKs require licensing to protect HP Intellectual property, regardless of business status or existing arrangements with HP. Licensing SDKs is currently provided free of charge and requires the following three steps. 1-Submitting the technology/SDK request form; 2-Signing and returning the standard HP Solution Business Partner Membership Agreement and Confidential Disclosure Agreement. 3-HP acknowledges receipt of the agreements. The agreements are emailed once the request form has been submitted.
  • Technical support for the SDKs differs from standard HP Indigo product technical support. Please read the following statement to help you understand the technical support available.

HP Indigo SDKs Technical Support Statement for Print Service Providers
Technical support to PSPs for HP Indigo SDKs is available. This support is separate from standard HP Indigo product support. Support contracts or business arrangements regarding HP Indigo product support are not a factor in SDK support. For example, there are no "support level promises" or "response time guarantees" for SDK support needs. SDK support for PSPs is provided only via the technical support link on this web site. This link sends email to a constantly monitored email address. Subsequent responses are supplied via email. Please do not use this link for HP Indigo product support. Support requests for PSPs go into the support queue for all ISV development support requests. This queue is handled in a first-in-first-out manner. PSP support needs for SDKs are not prioritized higher or lower than any other support request.

If this information is acceptable please submit the IDP Print Service Provider Request form. Good luck.
